CBR is the official Dutch institute responsible for the practical driving and theory exams. Apart from the existing exams in Dutch, CBR also administers theory exams in English. In addition, an individual oral exam is possible with the assistance of an interpreter.

CBR driver license test is a driver test of 65 questions. At least 48 correct results are required to pass the test.

55 minutes in total .The practical CBR exam takes approximately 55 minutes in total. 15 minutes of this is reserved for the introduction with the examiner and for the explanation of the result after the exam.

Whether you want to pass your theory exam for the passenger car, motorcycle or moped, you should always bring a valid ID and your reservation number with you. This number can be found in the letter or e-mail you received from the CBR.

To exchange your foreign driving licence for a Dutch driving licence, you will need to apply at the municipality where you are registered. They will forward your exchange application to the RDW.

The appraisal process takes approximately two weeks (or longer, depending on wait times) and applicants are not permitted to drive while their application is being processed. For the application, you will need valid identity documents such as a passport, your foreign driving licence, your BSN and a photo.

If you are staying in the Netherlands for a short time, you can use your own driver’s license. However, if you are staying for more than 6 months (usually international students and expatriates), you will need to obtain a Dutch driver’s license.

Dutch driving exam is also among the most difficult to obtain. An exact testing process combined with solid infrastructure means that Dutch roads are some of the safest in the world. But don’t worry we are sure, you can pass the exam with our lessons.

In the Netherlands, a license to drive a vehicle (license B) can be obtained from the age of 17. However, drivers must be audited by an adult who is at least 27 years old until they are 18 years old.

In Holland, you cannot get a full license until the age of 18. Under a national scheme, drivers can pass their theory test at the age of 16, take lessons and do a preliminary test at 16.5, and then their full test at 17. They’ll then need to be accompanied by a coach until they turn 18.
